Coach Cara

Founder & Head Coach

Hi, I’m Cara Carmichael — founder of Team Humble Yourself and your new favorite hype woman with a science-based backbone.

I studied Exercise Science with a minor in Sports Nutrition and spent college years personal training and teaching group fitness. That’s where my passion for training and community began.

When I graduated, COVID hit — so I started personal training and coaching Orange Theory classes as the world opened back up. I loved the 1:1 aspect of coaching, but I noticed a huge disconnect: “Everyone was talking about workouts and macros, but no one was talking about doing it sustainably — about longevity.”

That gap is what built THY. I wanted to create something deeper than surface-level fitness — a brand rooted in education, mindset, and structure. Because results don’t come from quick fixes; they come from alignment.

Through my own journey, I learned how much mindset creates your reality, and that’s become a massive pillar in our program. At THY, we teach that Training + Nutrition + Mindset = Lifestyle.

What started as me posting my journey on Instagram turned into building a team of powerhouse coaches who are here to teach women how to train smart, master their mindset around food, and finally look like they train.

Coach Maddie

Assistant Coach

I'm a certified personal trainer (CPT), 200 HR Registered Yoga Teacher, integrative nutrition specialist, (CNC) Nutrition Coach & Wellness Coach with over a decade of experience helping women build strength, fuel their bodies, and create sustainable habits. I'm currently pursuing her CISSN (International Society of Sports Nutrition) to deepen my expertise. My training style is simple, effective, and results-driven—focusing on smart programming, proper fueling, and building confidence in and out of the gym.

I believe that fitness shouldn’t feel overwhelming or complicated, and she helps her clients see progress without extreme workouts or restrictive diets.

My passion for fitness started in college when I stepped into a gym for the first time (intimidated...), but fell in love with strength training. Over the years, I've explored everything from yoga to CrossFit, shaping my well-rounded perspective on movement and nutrition. When I'm not coaching, you can find me in the kitchen crafting simple, high-protein recipes, exploring my new home of Kansas City’s food scene, or traveling back to visit my family in California with my husband, Logan and boston terrier, Frankie.

Hi everyone! I’m Laura Biblowitz — originally from New York and now living in Denver. I’ve been a nurse for over 10 years, and that work showed me how important it is to care for our bodies not just in hard seasons, but every single day. That perspective led me into personal training and nutrition coaching, where helping women feel strong, confident, and capable quickly became my favorite part of the job.

In 2025, while balancing nursing and coaching, I realized I wasn’t prioritizing my own health the way I wanted to. That’s when I joined Team Humble Yourself as a client. Working with Cara and Maddie grounded me, helped me release perfectionism, and finally break the weekend spirals that used to feel inevitable. I’m far from perfect, but I now honor my values, show up for myself, and lead with integrity for my clients, family, and friends.

I’m incredibly grateful to step into the assistant coach role at THY and support women who might be exactly where I once was. I’ve lived this, I get it, and I know real change is possible with the right structure, coaching, and community.

Outside of work, you can find me exploring Denver coffee shops, hiking with my husband and dog, skiing, seeing live music, or baking.

I’m so honored to be part of THY and can’t wait to support this community!
